Letters from the Inside, Sarah Pender, #64

Dear Kelly,

I was thinking of you today when I had a sign-language conversation with the lady I can see across from me, and I finally found a subject to write a LIVE/Die! about. [Ed.: I will be posting her Die! on You Might As Well... next week.] It's about sociopaths. Then your postcard showed up, right on the subject!

I plan to write a Die on sociopaths and a LIVE on my Hands Project. Speaking of art, I am glad you loved the card I made you. I know you are at an especially low point and while Amir is addicted to cheating, it seems you are addicted to Amir. Or maybe you are addicted to how you feel when you are with Amir and things are good between you. You are addicted to the Third Entity. I totally understand that and want to encourage you to take care of yourself. This is pulling you apart and ruining your present day life, which also means that it is blocking new opportunities from opening up for you. The Universe won't open a door for you if you won't stop being obsessed, staring at a stain in the carpet. That stain is what's left of your relationshp.

It's unsalvageable, Kelly.

However, if you can't just let go of that stained piece of carpet, then the only way that I see you being able to salvage it would be to change your expectations regarding its function.

Neat stamps.

That damned book about me was published. It's a fucking circus.

But good news in my case. Sometimes a crisis is exactly what we need to bring attn to what has been abandoned. I believe that fair justice is coming. I have to. It's the belief that keeps me alive.
